VIRTUAL INDEPENDENCE

The nation recently celebrated its 64th independence day. The glorious flag hoisting ceremony with showers of flowers enhancing the beauty of tri-color. Free kites flying high till god’s navel in the independent sky. Small children singing out the glorious freedom of the country. The whole nation standing out together with proud for celebrating the freedom our brave leaders gifted us on august 15, 1947, 63 years back. The scenario comes out to be the perfect and we assume that every Indian is happy as the country is independent, its people are independent and the ideas all independent.

This is the overview of the nation on the eve of independence. Looking at the roots of this prosperous country, there is no such happiness of freedom, there is no such independence. It is all slavery engrossed deep inside.

Millions of people spreading out hands for just the basic two day meal don’t make the nation independent. Every women of the country is till date suppressed for innumerous reasons, which makes every free women a slave.

The preamble secures the citizens of the country for Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. But on the name of justice, the victims of Mumbai terror attack are still poignant, as Kasab is safe in the Indian prison. Equality is nowhere to be seen when government has reserved quotas for every possible section in every possible field. Liberty of expression can only be seen with electronic Media in an uncontrolled manner, where anyone speaks anything. Fraternity seems to be present nowhere when incidents like journalist throwing shoes at the home minister occurs.

We call our nation to be independent, but no youth has the freedom to choose their partners. They are being killed on the name of honor killing and still are slaves of their own society. Women can’t take their decisions on own, they are beaten and tortured badly by their families for not giving birth to a boy. Public has been given all the rights but just for the sake of name, when it comes to accessing them the ministers have much powerful illegal rights to suppress the common man.

Years back India got independence but till date its roots are tangled strongly with slavery. We were successful in kicking out the britishers rule from our country but slavery still exists in every bit of the nation. Still the dominating are ones who are richer, bigger and more powerful. The nation is still a slave in the hands of society.
